I'm in the process of installing PDM Standard 2016 on to our server.
It appears I now need a Serial Number for it (I didn't before).
Is this true?
I found this on another website...
Licenses will be handled by a SolidNetWork License (SNL) Manager. This is the same utility that SOLIDWORKS network licenses use. A CAD Editor license will be available for each seat of SOLIDWORKS 2016 Professional and Premium license owned. A serial number will be assigned to each eligible SOLIDWORKS 2016 license. The serial numbers can be accessed from the SOLIDWORKS Customer Portal, and if you can’t find them your SOLIDWORKS Reseller can help you.
Here's the punchline...
The SOLIDWORKS PDM Standard serial numbers are set to be released in early November.
Is this true?
Did SolidWorks actually release a product I can't use yet?
I went to my Customer Portal to see if there is a SN there, but I can't find any. Maybe I didn't see it?
How are these Serial Numbers assigned?
I haven't contacted my VAR yet.
