I have a model that I want to fill inside part of it.
can anyone help me?
Have a look here How to ad a document to the solidworks forum?
Have had a look at the defeature tool 2013 SOLIDWORKS Help - Defeature Tool
You could also use intersect : Great Use for the Intersect Tool
2014 SOLIDWORKS Help - Intersect PropertyManager
thanks for answering
but it's cap is not straight and planar.
how that is possible?
If you could upload the part (use advance editor) I can show you.
Another option is to offset the outer surfaces to "0" , cap it and try to form solid by knitting them together.
..do a check of the surface and see what you have open... fill surface and add merge and make solid..
I offset the outer surface to 0, but I don't know how to cap it ? (it is not on an plane)
It´s hard to tell without the part, sorry.
Have a look at Paul´s approach.
How can I attach file here?
thank you, it worked.
but beside this model I have 5 others too. I assembled them and in order to simulate in ABAQUS, I save as*. STP file. The problem is when I import the model in ABAQUS, many separated surfaces are being imported.
How can I save it that just solid bodies be imported?
thanks in advance
Can you upload the file ?
what is your email address?
Please use the forum to upload the file.
Can you help me send the model since I can't find " use advanced editor" option?
This is what I see
I´ll send you my e-mail address in a pm, so you can send me the file.
Would be awesome if Richard Doyle or Greg Jankowski could find a way to make this more user friendly to upload files to the forum.
