how do i model this tap, the curved features are difficult to get around and i was wondering if somebody could give me a list of developments please or a mock up, really any kind of guidance would be great. I don't just want to do a bunch of extrudes.

From the looks of it, I would probably recommend doing a revolve for the upright base section, then maybe a loft for the spout section. The knob looks to be relatively easy to do with an extrude.
If you don't want to be doing extrudes and other features you could always look into surface modeling also.

Hi. Looks like you have a rather simple base with with some fairly complex lofts at the top and spout. Complex due to the way they intersect. You need profile sketches along the loft where necessary, and try to over loft at the end so that you cat cut off square. Looks like there may be a slight twist on the spout you can capture this in the loft sections. Do what you can then post those results as suggested in the last post. This is not a beginner loft.
