Hello, I am having trouble simply angling these rods for my assembly:
As you can see the square base the rods are attached to is bigger than the top piece that they need to attach to. I can't figure out how to angle them so they are under the top piece around the edge. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!
I am going off the assumption that you just want to angle the rods, but you don't need the ends to be cut at angles to match the flat surfaces. Also I am assuming all of the rods will stay the same length. One way to achieve what you want is to make a sketch on each square plate with a point where each rod should go. Then in the assembly make a coincident mate between each rod and the two points that it needs to line up with. Finally you can use tangent mates between the edges of each rod and the plate to keep it touching. See my attached example. Note that since different rods are at different angles, some of them won't quite reach between both plates.
