Is it a possibility to release a SOLIDWORKS standalone license with command prompt ? If that is the case then it should be a way to release it on every shutdown automatically e.g. with a .bat file ? That´s what I need.
This used to be perfect when there was a home license, but that´s a different story.
I have one Workstation in the office and a laptop. Sometimes I need to use my laptop in the evening at home or I need to go to a customer in the morning with my laptop without going to my office first. Another advantage of having this setup is that the data is always mirrored between the two, both for security and convenience, so easy two keep on working on my projects in either of these two.
So I need to free up the license on every shutdown in the office.
If I had a network license I could use my laptop as a license server, but the cost is to much turning my standalone license into a network one.
I also don´t want to keep my Office workstation idle all the time so I could free up the license in the office with VPN or something.
p.s. I am the only one in my company.
Thanks, for any input on this one.
