This is the basic shape of an air intake measured up to fit a custom motorcycle. Unfortunately I cant figure out any way to thicken the surface past 2.7mm. It needs to be at least 5mm.

I think Bill is correct. If you suppress all the fillets and change the direction of the thickening, it will thicken.....
Thanks, that suggestion did just the trick, allowed me to thicken to 6.2mm! I guess I'll have to rework the whole surface model for an inward thicken vs the outward thicken that I'd planned on. Could anybody explain basically what Solidworks can thicken and what it cant thicken? I'm new at this, trying to gain a good understanding of the program.
My guess would be that you are wiping out some of the smaller radii when you try to go past 2.7mm
