[solved] pdmwservice.exe Crash (Workgroup PDM 2015 SP04)

Dear experts,

our workgroup PDM service crashes (at least to me) unconditionally, while I can not see any problems at runtime.

Here is the setup:

- fresh install of Workgroup PDM 2015 SP4 on a new Windows Server 2012 R2 OS (running in a Hyper-V virtual machine)

- fresh SWX 2015 SP4 install on a new DELL Workstation (Win 7 Pro x64), including Workgroup PDM x64 add-in, and Workgroup PDM Vault admin

Before installation, I copied my SWX2013 vault data folder to the server, and during installation, I pointed Workgroup PDM 2015 to this copy, so it would take over all files, settings, users etc.

After installation, I set a firewall exception (for domain networks) to allow all communications of C:\Program Files (x86)\SOLIDWORKS Corp\SOLIDWORKS Workgroup PDM\Vault\pdmwService.exe

What I have now, is an exact duplicate of the SWX2013 PDM behaviour: Upon startup of SWX, I am prompted to enter my vault user data, and in SWX the right pane contains all of our PDM projects and files. I can checkout drawings with nested documents etc., administer the vault with vault admin etc.

However, the service pdmwservice.exe terminates reproducibly after a short interval of varying duration (approx. 5..10 min according to event log). The same happens when the service is manually restarted. The event log says:
