How can I expand all in the assembly feature manager design tree? SW2014.
EDIT: Just *
Click Top of the tree and hit * on your number pad. If you don't have a number pad try holding shift and 8.
That was it. Thanks a lot, Scott.
How is this done on 2012?
Its the same. I opened up 2012 to confirm.
Must have some setting preventing me from doing it. I click the top level and then shift * and nothing happens. Shift 8 on the number pad gives me the same result, which is nothing.
well its not shift 8 on my number pad. The number pad has 8 and * separate. I was explaining on the keyboard 8 and * are the same key but that doesn't work for me. I have to hold shift and the * on the number pad.
For me it is having the top tree highlight and initiating the * key. Shift was mudding the waters for me (I have a keyboard that has the attached number keys) and if I go straight to the * key on the number key pad everything will expand. If I try shift^* on the keyboard it does not work.
Your right. I don't know why I use Shift and *. I wonder if I had a keyboard a long time ago that didn't have the number pad and had to use the number 8. Now I do have number pads on my laptop and external keyboard.
So * is all you need.
* button works well in assembly
It works just fine superb !!!!!!
Yeah, but the * key goes way too far, not just expanding the tree to show every component at every level of the assembly (which is what I want it to do), but also expanding the tree in each and every part model. This not only takes forever to do (I am still waiting), but I can't reasonably scan through the whole tree.
