Any one have recommendation for CAM software that works great with SOLIDWORKS and CNC Turning (not sure on axes details, but I would go with multi axes)
Solidcam is integrated very well within Solidworks and capable of mill turn with main / sub spindles and upper / lower turrets
Thanks Stephen, I'm inclined for SolidCAM for their iMachining feature but does that works with turning also.
Yes the i-machining will work on the turning module also. The minimum requirement for mill turn is 2.5D milling and the turning module. If you then purchase any additional milling modules they will all work within mill turn (providing the machine tool is capable of driving the program), so i-machining (2D or 3D), 3D HSR / HSM / HSS and 5 axis are all modules that can be purchased that will work on a mill turn machine.
Thanks for the inputs, this would be really help.
SolidCAM, I use it from 6 years ago and the integration is perfect. I use it for 5 axis simultaneus milling. Also I use Mastercam for 3 axis milling.
Thanks for the inputs. I've not used but I know from experience that SolidCAM is great with machining but haven't seen/heard results on turning.
