I have a large assembly file that a client is trying to open to pull out the structure to send for analysis by a structural engineer. They asked for a SW file, but say the file is too large to work in. I have stripped the non-essential details from the model; it is still too large. I sent along the advise to open in "large design review" mode, and show the model in "Shaded" view rather than "Shaded with Edges". Any other ideas?
"Large design review" mode on't help them export the file to a format they can use for FEA/CAE. I'm sure that they won't need to do the analysis on full assembly. So they can take out the required components only suppressing others and converted to parasolid, etc. It would take longer to even mesh the whole file if they managed to use the full assembly.
