Hi Guys, I just got a brand new workstation, Windows 8.1 Pro, 8 GB RAM, AMD FirePro W7100, pretty slick looking.

Anyways, going through all the hassle of first time use I installed Solidworks and all the software I regularly used, everything checks out fine.

The poblem I am having is with DraftSight, whenever I try installing it I get the following error;

1317: Error while attempting to create directory C: blah blah

I have no clue how to get around this, I've tried:

- Running as admin

- Restarting computer

- Resetting computer

- Starting in safe-mode

- Disabling the update KB something that has problems with solidworks

- Enabling the update KB something that has problems with solidworks

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
