I often take delivery of assembly models from third parties.  On conversion and through subsequent inspection in Solidworks I notice that no mates are applied.  Each of the parts, although accurately positioned, are floating.

What is the best practice to fix all parts so that I eliminate the risk of modifying a third party assembly?
