Is it possible to assign a keyboard shortcut to the "Assign and finish current command?"
I have muscle problems with my arm. It would be less stressful for me to be able to use a keyboard shortcut to click the "green checkmark".
Did you tried using mouse gesture? Enter key may also work some time
"D" + Breadcrumbs combo = A Game Changer!!!
"move controls to pointer" does not appear in my list.
Sorry if I am missing something.
I'm using SW 2015 4.0 if that helps?
Use to need to type OK and not move.
Under Keyboard I cannot find "ok" (see attached).
I have always been able to use the mouse gestures function to do this, but unfortunaly because of my disability this hurts my arm after awhile.
I appreciate the help, but I'm not sure why I'm not finding what I need.
This macro sends "OK":
Application.SldWorks.RunCommand 3042, ""
For some functions you might have to use 766 instead of 3042. I haven't investigated.
However, this will not work for you.
Unfortunately, most of the time when a command is active in SW, it will not allow you to run a macro, either by going to Tools→Macro (all greyed out), by a macro button, or by a shortcut.
However, there is a workaround because other programs are not prohibited from interacting with SW by API during this time.
I have attached a .vbs script that connects to SolidWorks and executes this code. To use it, you will need to save the .vbs file to your PC, then (within Windows) create a shortcut to the script file. You can then edit the properties of the shortcut and assign a keyboard shortcut to it.
This is not particularly very efficient, but it does work.
