were the files last checked in in an earlier version of SW?
do your files have configurations?
Like any other program, SW is telling you that something has changed. There are some things have the potential to update / change the content of your file without your direct action. Some examples:
- The file was last saved in an earlier version of SW (as Jeremy suggests above)
- there is a feature or dimension that is linked to another component & that other component has been modified since the last time this component was last saved
- the component was rebuilt while you had it open (they may happen without you being aware, and that's not a bad thing)
- there is a custom property that reads the current date
If you didn't intend to change anything, of course don't save changes. I personally don't mind seeing that message because it may tip me off that something is different. I may need to know that.
I ran into this awhile back and it drove me nuts.
With help from my VAR, it turned out that the "Purge Configuration Data" option (which we had checked on) triggers a rebuild when you open anything with configs in it.
So, if you open any file that references any kind of configuration, since it was previously purged when saved, it must rebuild the file.
This means SW thinks it changed and needs a save.
With much experimentation, I turned it off. The helped a ton. Still happens, but not with almost everything anymore.
Thank you I will look into all.
It looks like un-checking the setting shown above worked, thanks!
