I updated my email address through the Customer Portal and now all my points and badges are gone!
Who can I even talk to that may be able to help fix it?

Every once in a while this happens - much more often with the new system.
It will often freeze all accumulation of daily points (or transfered points) for a day or two.
It is SUPPOSED to keep accumulating the points in the background and then apply them when it work again - but this has been proven many times to not be the case.
Also, if you transfer points or give badges during these times they almost always just vanish.
The points transferred our will disappear from the person sending then and the points and badges (with or without points attached) never get to the destination.
So wait until the system seems to be working again before more transfering.
Are they working yet? Hmm, 5 days and I'm still at 0.

With all points frozen, this may be a bad time for moving points.
The donor's points will probably be deducted but since we're all frozen, the points may not arrive at the recipient, instead passing into the ether.
If and when the points start rolling again, the stalled points may show up, but I'm not betting on that.

Which is caused by solar flares, but the root cause is still climate change.
I just changed mine the other day. I was clueless until your post. Mine are zeroed out too! I had thousands.
All the forum points are still frozen for everyone (about 2 weeks now) so I wouldn't expect to see anything update with then until (or if) they un-freeze.
It will be interesting to see if they convert over or just go away since you change during the deep freeze.

It's the beginning of month 3.for not points - did you get everything (not related to points or badges) to move into your new address or was everything frozen (history, contacts,....)..?

Too bad the ones you guys set while the system was out didn't transfer. I hope you didn't lose them from your accounts. Thanks for the feedback and help everyone. I guess I just had bad timing when I updated my email at the same time the points went out.
Did you got them back to the same amount when you changed your email - or more or less?
Even though they are back you will now see them stay frozen with the rest of us.
Let us know if they change any - since you saw them change from 0, maybe yours will work
It seems more like DSS has abandoned the collection of points, but also not bothered to clear them.
The only use I ever saw with points is that it encourages people to participate more to gain a "higher status" in the forum. But, anyone who pays attention to the forum would know without points who really contributes to the community --- Just my $.02.
hmmm, I'll keep my eye on it. I do think your right, there may be a little less now. I'm pretty sure my rank had broken 250 and now it's back up to 276. But I have no way to confirm that. I don't think the Latest Acclaimed alerts get emailed.

Someone pull started the motor, but forgot to clean the spark plug or the air filter. They probably put bad gas in as well, so it ran for a bit, but there was lots of smoke, and it finally sputtered and then died. Probably going to have to bring it into the shop for a thorough once-over.
