Don't really care for this new forum "flat" layout. In preferences I see threaded (Indented) as an option but nothing changes when I toggle it. Is there anyway to get my indented threaded view back. It was useful to see responses in context.
This is the first thing I noticed after the format switch. I swear, though, that i have seen some threads indented but most are not.
Edit: I just went into Preferences and changed both the Discussion and Comment styles to Threaded and now I am seeing this Question/Discussion as threaded.
I feel like I'm in mobile mode. I have this extra wide monitor or 3 on my desk yet the discussion is a narrow vertical band with several inches of space on the sides. Be nice if it would resize and re-flow the text when changing the browser window width. This is 90's technology...........if SpaceX can land rockets on a launch pad, surely forum software should get better not worse.
Ok..........the forum is out to get me.
Agreed. Hard to keep track the conversation with the new format
I am seeing this thread as indented. But not when I view it from my inbox. I have to open it separately.
This needs to be updated, but I think most of the logic still applies:
What is the difference between viewing a thread in my Inbox and viewing it separately?
The inbox has always worked that way as far as I can remember. I never liked the view so I always open the original message.

I have the exact same issue. Seems only some forums and posts here are impacted. This post, for example, is showing up threaded whereas nothing in the Visualize forum does.
Is it Questions versus Discussions?
Very inconsistent.....this discussion is indented.....this one is not.

Yes.....a thread is always indented.....until it gets a certain length.
Once it reaches that unknown threshold, then it will be split up into pages and the indenting goes away..
That has actually always been the case. Any thread with page numbers will not be indented.
Both Questions and Discussions have mostly broken threading for me.
Just so the site admins are aware, I have mostly abandoned the official Solidworks forums because the new and broken formatting makes them largely unusable.
