I'm working on an assembly with two macros giving errors. The macros cannot be opened or deleted. How do I get rid of them?
Please explain about 2 macros you use on the assembly?
I did not create them. They were in the assembly as given to me. I can't open them to see what they are and I can't delete them from the assembly.
Not sure what you mean macro "In" the assembly. Can you post the assembly here?
In the tree of the assembly they are at the bottom after the parts. see photo
There are 2 macro features in your model and you do not have them installed on your machine. Those are either com macro features or not embeded vba macro features. If you can post the assembly I can take a look. But you can contact the author of the assembly and ask for macro feature definition.
I was afraid it was something like that. I'm a designer and these are work related. Created by someone long gone.I think I'll just recreate the assembly myself.
If you can attach the file (just sldasm, no need for any components inside) if there is no NDA on it, I can try to remove it with API.
Thank you very much but I'll have to figure it out without sending any files.
Sure, no worries. I understand that the fact you cannot remove the feature is annoying and might be considered as a bug, but there is actually a good reason behind why the macro feature is locked as you can use it for security purpose as described in this thread: Leaving Your Mark.........
Thanks for the helpful replies. I ended up taking all of the part files and recreating the assembly. Problem solved.
