It has been a while since I verified this, but can anyone tell me for sure that I can run PDM Professional 2018 on a 2019 SNL server? I am looking at upgrading just our division since we do not share files with other divisions and would like to take advantage of some of the features in 2019. But want to ensure the other divisions that if we upgrade the SNL server to 2019 that it will not affect their 2018 PDM.

I think that is for running a different version of SOLIDWORKS and PDM. I am going to be running the same versions of SOLIDWORKS and PDM in my division and just need to know if the SolidNetwork License Server (SNL) will serve licenses to the 2018 version of PDM if it is at the 2019 version.

As far as I am aware an SNL can handle/give out previous license version up to 3 years inclusive (sometimes more). So if you install a 2019 SNL you should still be able to pull a 2018 SW or PDM license. yes, it works.
SNL has to be in the same or newer version than SW or PDM but it works with all previous SW and PDM versions.
PDM supports up to 3 previous version of SW (it means PDM 2019 support SW 2019, 2018 and 2017).
