Would you be interested in building the community for the podcast by adding a http://solidworks.com/podcast discussion group in this forum so that we can share ideas and get feedback for the SOLIDWORKS Podcast?
Brian Kenyon - Absolutely - that would be awesome....
Thanks for the link. I didn't even know there was one. That builds the community.

Brian, I would enjoy and look forward to this podcast.
Yes. Please add a discussion group.
How long has this podcast been in existence?
I see the oldest cast is August 1, 2018.
Do you have material prior to this?
Are there any archives? (specifically anything from SWW2018?)
We started the latest version of the SOLIDWORKS Born to Design Podcast in August.
Im working with Cliff Medling on this and I believe that we may have some recordings from sww2018 in the queue.
What topics would you like to see covered?

Oh. I don't know. Maybe... a podcast interview with a couple of guys discussing ONE and TWO???
The podcast interview booth during SWW2018 seemed to have a lot of action with Cliff recording at every possible opportunity. I'm sure there is a lot of really great stuff in the can.
Hi Rick Becker We haven't lost that one. I plan to have the ONE and TWO podcast released before SWW 2019. I'll keep you updated here. Thanks again.
I would think if you have a mix of different projects such as the Danielle Boyer and her EKGAR - Chin-loo Lama - Wheel Chair Project https://forum.solidworks.com/external-link.jspa?url=http%3A%2F%2Fblogs.solidworks.com%2Fsolidworksblog%2F2018%2F06%2Fkee…
Throw in some technical stuff from SW Corp team such as Bruce Holway - Kevin Berni - John Sweeney - Mike Sabocheck
Do some special new development projects - plus there'll be a lot more...
We actually did already cover Chin-loo Lama s Magic wheelchair project here for the Halloween episode: Podcast: Designing Monster Truck Magic
Brian Kenyon - That's awesome - I think that is part of the mix that would draw a bigger audience, some feel good stories, along with techy stuff
And thanks for the other ideas as well.
Guess what went live today: [Podcast] How the User Forum Changed the Course of SOLIDWORKS Software
Thanks again to you and Dennis for sharing your story!
Will definetly give a listen to this a little later today. Thanks for sharing Cliff
Perhaps finding something to cancel the background noise would be a good idea. I'm listening to it right now and find the background noise makes it harder to understand what is being said without a headset

Rick Becker and Dennis Dohogne, it's nice to hear your voices. Now I know what you sound like.
Should be required listening for new Solidworks users. Lot's of good advice on how to get help when you get stuck.

Thank You Cliff.
Great job editing that podcast. Your hard work is greatly appreciated!
This suggestion is admittedly vague because I don't know whom would be a good guest for it: (Augmented Reality? or) Virtual Reality in design.
For example, HP's upcoming Opera Glass product, a standby VR headset designed to live on a desk, for "VR Snacking" by designers. Clearly, how it'd integrate with SWx workflow should be included.
Other bleeding edge products can be covered in context of SWx.
Thanks Tom Gagnon . I am personally very interested in AR/VR and really hope we can cover some exciting content there. Ive been playing alot with my oculusgo lately and would love to start reviewing SOLIDWORKS models within it. oculus rift oculus
Brian Marie Planchard and her Women in Engineering, and yes, as John Stoltzfus mentioned, the Chin-loo Lama wheelchair project.
We will try and connect with Marie Planchard . Im not sure how much she has engaged yet with the community here or if she is interested.
Brian Kenyon She's really nice, very involved, but it's worth a shot in any case
What are the intentions behind the SolidWorks podcast? What were they meant for? I had never heard of these and have a hard time putting my finger on what their use could be. This isn't derogatory btw

Hi Alex. I also am not being derogatory. Have you listened to any podcasts on any specific subject?
Podcasts are just another medium used to inform, entertain and delight the listeners. The podcast format is great for people on the go listening during commutes of while waiting for other events to happen. Some listen just for the relaxation of closing ones eyes and floting away in the words.
Think of it as a replacement for listening to music for pleasure.
Hey Rick, I understand what podcasts are, I was more wondering what they would revolve around.
You mentionned that you'd like a podcast about One and Two. Cliff said it is in the works. What would they be talking about? Incentives to fix One and Two? Procedures created to assure that bugs do not reoccur? Why it got to that extent in the first place? Are there public interactions with users who ''call''?
I'd love to listen to a podcast about One and Two, don't get me wrong, I just don't want to listen to a Podcast about One and Two and that the podcasts leads to nothing. I feel the podcasts could sometimes lead to something greater.

"Now I see" said the blind man to the deaf man over the telephone...
When Dennis and I participated in SWW2018 this last February, we sat down together, with Cliff Medling and a most lovely assistant, and we were the subject and stars of a future podcast. In other words we had a conversation with Cliff on the specific subject of ONE and TWO. We have been waiting, with loving patience, to hear the edited version broadcast on the intertubes.
Alex Lachance if you go to the http://www.solidworks.com/podcast you will see what we are trying to do with it. But here you go to save yourself a click
"Born to Design takes you inside the most fascinating stories coming out of the design and manufacturing world. The surprising backstories of amazing creators. Harrowing near-failures that became overnight successes. Uplifting examples of the many ways our community is changing the world for the better. Presented by SOLIDWORKS, Born to Design is a podcast for dreamers, designers, and creators of all kinds."
You can also find us in many different podcast players so be sure to search for "Solidworks Podcast" in your favorite podcatching app and let me or Cliff Medling know if we have missed any channels you want to see the podcast on.
The latest podcast was released yesterday, in case you missed it: Podcast: The Hardest Part of Design with Grant Delgatty
I'm interested in your feedback. Please remember to subscribe in your podcast app, and share with other designers.
Also, I'm planning on interviewing Marie Planchard as Edward Poole suggested. Keep the ideas coming. Thanks.

We have created a new General / SOLIDWORKS PODCAST group here in the forum.
As you can see we moved the 2 podcast discussion posts into the new subgroup.
Feel free to engage with the Podcast team by joining, following, and engaging with this new group!
Suggestion: Interview with John Stoltzfus about using SW to create art
Inspiring pod casts @Cliff Medling and @Brian Kenyon. I just finished the pod casts and its very nice listening to something hopeful while I work. Personally as a young entry level mouse jockey I'd love to hear interviews from the locals here about their particular work flow and the advantages they see day to day and start to finish. Things like Skeleton Sketch Part and writing macros or maybe Administrating solidworks in a multi user environment. Real nuts and bolts things too! Oh and I definitely want to hear from current or former fabricators who have taken up solidworks. The importance of shop experience like machining or metal forming. That may have been incoherent but I have to be quick to get back.
Thanks for your time!
Thanks for the feedback Justin Pires . In parallel to the Born To Design Podcast Dassault Systems is also starting a more technical, longer form podcast called "The 3DExperience" with Michael Buchli that will be addressing these kinds of more technical topics. You can find that podcast here for now: The 3DExperience | Free Listening on SoundCloud .
There is also a Youtube channel here: The 3DExperience - YouTube
So much Yes! Thank you. I've discovered today that I enjoy listening to these casts while working. The conversation with Chris really scratched that itch. The few jobs I've worked now using solidworks has Isolated engineering and design from fabricators and machinists and Ive felt that that decision was quite off.
Thanks, for the feedback Justin! We have some good discussions coming up on MFG and automation.
Sure loved the Rick Becker and Dennis Dohogne PODCAST. One two baby...
Hey everyone, we just finished another podcast on The 3DExperience chatting about Automation, robotics, Skills gap and community with a company that is trying to solve all these problems in their region of the world. Have a listen when you get a moment.

Dope. I'll listen in tomorrow!
That was a Very long tomorrow, as expected the pod cast was enjoyable. I can understand the Scott's 'Attraction' to precision, one could say it was ............... magnetism.
Couldn't agree more.......
Another podcast is available from "The 3DExperience" John and I got to interview Chris Fox from Tormach and had a great discussion about mfg, makers, and education.
