I have a multi-body master model. I've exported the bodies to new parts. None of my appearances hold after I do a rebuild in either the master model part or the individual part files. In some cases, it reverts back to the grey default color, in others it defaults to the applied material appearance, even though I have the Apply appearance unchecked in the material properties manager. Sometimes the custom appearance I used gets applied to a random face, even though I never originally applied to it a face. I've only ever applied the appearances to the body or part level. This does this for all of my master-model parts. Any ideas on what's going on? I can easily repeat it with simple 2 body master model parts. If someone wants to take a crack at it, I can create something and share it. I'm using SW2018 SP4, but has been doing this since I can remember on many machines with different graphics cards and drivers.
