hello, is there a way on how to align Annotation text to any edge in drawings views?
To my knowledge there isn't a way to do that directly. You could place a sketched line coincident with the model view, line up the note with this sketched line, then delete the line (or move it to a Layer that's turned off), but that's the best way I know of.
in Drawings view there is no a possibility to line up or link not to sketched line ... can you show me what is possible to do there ?
I was thinking of horizontal or vertical edges, and aligning the notes visually with the sketched lines. For model edges that aren't vertical or horizontal, you can rotate the notes, as Deepak said, but you will still need to align the notes with the edges visually.
There isn't any way to have notes snap to model edges or sketched lines. I'm sorry that I wasn't clear.
There is no direct option as Glenn has mentioned but you can always rotate your notes to required angle
Thanks for your reply,
my question is why DS does not implement same command in drawings view like in 3d model drawing, where it's possible to link text to sketch line,
Deepak, rotating text is not suitable for me as Im doing some configurations to generate drawings automatically (for lattice Towers structures) so my texte is the labels , description and lenght of each parts. so it's not common to rotate text manually as there are too much.
Both are two different thing; one is Sketch (sketch text) whereas other is note/annotation. Also I don't see any option to line up the note with a line/edge in drawing view. So suggested for rotation.
There is no ability to align texture to edge also How to align face mapped texture to a face edge
