What could I do to fix this up?
I work for a reseller and our customer just had this (Windows 10 with SW 2017). The solution that worked for me was to get the SolidWorks Prerequisites from the DVD or a download and re-run all of the C++ Redistributable files to repair (6 in total)- the files in these folders. Reboot and then the software loaded:
i opted for these as the SW Journal file mentioned an error with MSVCR. Note none of the crashes appear to show in the Windows Event Viewer.
Hope this helps here
I have the exact same problem but when I got to the SolidWorks Prerequisites I was missing the three folders you circled in red. I uninstalled and reinstalled Solidworks but the problem still persists. What should I do?
I am using Solidworks 2017 (student edition) on Windows 10.
Hi Chris, I have sent a message to you with a link to get these.
I installed all three of them but my problem still persists. I even tried repairing it with the installation manager. Could there be something wrong with the download?
Hey , Can you please send me those Files ?
Can you give me more instructions on how you did this? Our computer just received a windows update and now solidworks 2016 hangs on the same point in startup.
yes thank you. unfortunately this attempt had not fixed the issue.
i have the same problem
i installed all the pre-reqs you mentioned but it didn't work
other products like inspection and composer are working fine but the solidworks 2015x64 is not loading and stucks at "Loading Taskpane"
It hardly opens up after 2 to 3 attempts of Re-installing and problem again comes up as soon as the program is reopened.
I am working on windows 10 64bit
please provide with any effective solution
