Not turning out as supposed too. Lip on part. What is going wrong ?
Go Back a page in the tutorial and I think you'll find that you've skipped a step. Where you have the black line which is the outer edge of your solid, you now need to select 'Offset Entities' and then set a distance (as it states on this page shown) of 2mm. You should notice a yellow line appear that is the same shape as your black line. Now, if the yellow line is on the outside of the black line box then do as the instruction says and click the arrow next to your offset parameter so that the yellow lined box now appears inside your black line box and you'll see that the yellow lined box is as per the diagram they show in the tutorial.
I've restarted this file 5 times. Always follow as instructed. Can you check the file please.
You've not added the offset of 2 mm to the sketch.
Here's another file, different problem. Different result.
I'm getting a floating line now. I wondering what is to go in the "Blind" slot and the empty slot ?
The empty selection box is to define the direction of the extrude/cut extrude in case you want that to be different than normal/default to the sketch plane.
Am I supposed to fill the "Selection box" ? If so, how ?
What is the problem, seem OK to me. You've correctly picked the blind and depth as 20 mm as stated in the tutorial.
I'm getting this floating line. Is that how this feature works ?
That is due to extra sketch, simply delete the sketch2 and that would take care of your issue.
And you do not need to fill that selection box.
Where is the "Keep Visible" in the Property manager tree ?

Now I have multiple parts in my graphic's area. SW makes no mention of this problem araising or how to get rid of it. So I now come to the forum for advise ?
Never mind. I figured the last problem out. Someone needs to teach SW how to communicate instructions.
I don't get it. How do you "Save" it ?
Again, confusing instruction from SW. Should I delete one of the checked boxes ? Or just click Save all ?
Not clear to me and I don't want to have to start over.
I just tried it again. Same results
F. Leatin - When you first select the cut feature look for the Thin Cut option....
