Hey, why not have a Macros section here?
All this posting of existing macros is very repetitive in the forums and makes it hard to find an existing macro someone has already created.
Isn't that what the API Examples section is intended for? Maybe we should just encourage people to post completed macros there.
I interpreted that section to be like in the help file, where there is a demonstration of how something works. And it appears I'm not alone because that's what people are posting in there. Complete macros, to me, are a completely different animal. And, I think there may be value in having a separate listing. Others, may not think it is necessary. I just thought it would be helpful.
I'm not a programmer and for me it is difficult and time consuming to put together a macro. So, for me, it would be useful. At least, I think it would. It's hard to know how useful something that doesn't exist could actually be.
I know that I cannot post in the Examples section, Im pretty sure its just for DSS and moderators.
Just to show the state of things:
I'm pretty sure that macro is in the API section... But where is it?
With the current setup, I'd have to post another question, and someone would dig up the thread and either cross post the thread or repost the macro for me.
Matt , I think that is a great idea. Let me see what can be done.
