Parsing VBA Code to Equations Via a .txt file

I'm fairly new to the use of the equations manager with Solidworks, and up until this point, I have operated strictly within the confines of it using simple variable declarations, IF statements, and invoking suppression and unsuppression of features such as patterns in assemblies and holes in parts, etc. I would like to get more into using functions already hard coded into the Solidworks API such as SwApp, SwEquationMgr, and so on. SO, I would like to know if say for instance I coded what I need in visual basic and made sure it compiles correctly, could I not simply go into the equation manager and reference an external text file with this code copy and pasted in said text file?
