I don't see any reason why SW2017 was not running on your computer
Did you try to reboot the computer and try again?
Best way is to run Rx and send the report to your VAR for further inventigation
Rebuild and restarted, it eventually started (after 2 hours) and after that it ran fine. No issues at all opening and editing files even very complicated ones. No idea why it was taking so long though. It hung on 'initializing solidworks forum 2017' for like an hour but when I got it going and I when't in to disable the forum from starting with solidworks it said that last time it took less than a second for that add in to start.
Now Solidworks is installed on a drive OTHER than my OS drive but the drive its on should not be an issue Lots of other programs run from it just fine.
how would I go about reporting to VAR?
