I am unable to thicken this surface. What is the reason?
Maha,, You need a smoother transition between Boundary-Surface3 and 8.
Change B-S8 from normal to profile to curvature to face.
I exaggerated the thicken.
The issue is with the two highlighted surfaces below. If these aren't included in the Surface Knit then the surface will thicken without issue. I'd suggest you look at the way these surfaces are constructed & connected to the others for the problem.
Thanks for the help. Now it is okay.
Problem is in this side there is no smoother transition between Boundary-Surface but thicken is coming. What is the reason for that?
I wish I could explain that Maha. I'm no Paul Salvador when it comes to surfacing. It looks like it depends on how you view the zebra stripes (what angle). the other side of the boundary was causing a dip between the surfaces. I looks like the end where there is no (none) tangent influence you have circled there is not much deviation from surface to surface. I can remember Paul lecturing (informing) us to avoid red or into red areas in the curvature areas and isocurves. We should try to avoid that.
boundary is for 2 or 4 sided surfaces, Fill is for 3 or 5+ sided surfaces.
