Sometimes I don't want the hatching of section view. And it's a lot of trouble to manually remove every part that gets cut by them. Is there a way to make section views without the hatching?
When you make the change, apply it to the View instead of the Component.
If you click on the hatching, you get the Area Hatch/Fill...
...uncheck "Material crosshatch" and click on "None"...
...now go to the pull-down box below the words "Apply to:" and change it from "Component" to "View"...
...all the hatching in the entire section view will now be changed to "None".
This is all I could find:
Macro to disable material crosshatch
Maybe you could make a custom material and assign no cross-hatch to it for those parts?
Hmm, possible. I'm already using a custom material. But sometimes I want the hatching.
Just tried this, after you have your section view, click on the hatch. You will get a popup that says "Area Hatch /Fill" Part way down is a Box checked "Material Cross hatch" uncheck that. Above that is a Box marked "None". Check that.
And I have to do that with every part in the section view. I am asking about a way to do all the parts at once.
Does not look like you can.
That was it, thanks!
Can you not just turn off the auto-hatching when creating the view?
Seems like it gives you at least two spots to turn it off before completing the view.
It seemed to apply hatching anyway.
When you change the hatch to none, have you tried changing the "apply to:" to "view"?
