Solidworks crashes when just clicking on patterns in an assembly

I am using Solidworks 2016 x64 SP 3.0

I have an assembly, which isn't very large. The most complex thing about it is it has a lot of patterned components in it. Some of these patterns are causing solidworks to crash instantly when I interact with them in any way. Just clicking or right-clicking on them in the feature tree causes an instant crash. I can expand them by clicking the small arrow and interact with the child parts inside them without any trouble. It is the derived hole patterns and linear patterns that do this (and not all of them do this, just some, and the ones that do it are very consistent). Any ideas about what might be going on?

When I look at the problem details, I get this:

Computer info:

HP Z420

22GB of RAM

Intel Xeon CPU E5-1620 0 @ 3.60 GHz

Nvidia Quadro 600

Windows 7 Professional, SP 1

I have not tried other 2016 service packs, but I have tried it in 2017 and the exact same error occurs. The files are located on a network drive, but I tried saving a local copy and the exact same error occured. I have tried having all the components be resolved and lightweight, with no change.
