If mates in Solid Works assembly are over defined will it effect the static simulation???
Not at all. Mates has nothing to do with SW Simulation, as contacts define the rules in simulation.
Please note that the very opposite of the above sentence applies to Motion Simulation.
Thanks Siavash, I figured out what was wrong during simulation. It was all about the fixtures and external loads that I was applying to the assembly.
Thanks for the response.
While I agree with Siavash in a strict sense I have had simulation go in the ditch because of errors in the tree and sometime it doesn't matter what cause the error in the tree. An error free tree is good practice but some time its a pain in the you know where. Export to parasolid and import the parasolid can dispense with the errors quickly. Just make sure you fix all the pats if they don't come in fixed.
Just have in mind that interferences aren´t recommendable in static analysis if you don´t wanna use the shrink fit contact. So if wrong mates causes interference you may be problems in analysis.
