Solidifying an imported object (.stl)

I have an object (a shaped sled composed of multiple triangles [.stl]) that I would like to obtain in Solidworks as a solid body. I tried many things but it did not work. Here are my tentatives:

1)Imported it as a solid body. But did not work bc it imported it as a set of surfaces and solids. So I tried to “knit” the surfaces to obtain one solid but it did not work.

2)Imported it as a surface body. Tried to “thicken” it but it did not work (maybe bc it does not an enclosed volume). I also tried to “fill surface” but it also did not work.

Any suggestions? Thanking you in advance.
