Hi, I am trying to run simulations on a platform to find the displacement of it when a fixed force is acting on it. I tried both linear and non-linear simulation on it but I got different results from them. In theory, the results should be similar since it is below the yield stress and the resultant displacement is relatively small. Thus, I am wondering as to why such a discrepancy occur and which simulation is accurate and whether I made any mistakes with the simulations. The stiffness update in a NL simulation consideres both geometric

andmaterial non linearity.In linear static none of above is considered. If you turn on Large Displacement, the geometric stiffness will be updated. Material nonlinearity can only be applied in NL sim.
