Every time I try to run a macro, Solidworks Crashes.
I don´t have the chance to select the swb file, when I click run macro, it craches.
SolidWorks 2016 SP05, Windows 7.
Thank you for your help.
Can you post your macro here so we can run and test your macro
I cannot open the dialogue box to select the macro. It crashes when I click run macro:
Go to tools>options - see below image to find out where's the macro located
the macro file extension should be: swp
copy the macro file and post here
Chrisitan, I´ve added a file location for the macro and the open dialogue box opens, but when I select he macro nothing happens.
If I try to edit the macro, it crashes.
Could it be because of this: Instability in SOLIDWORKS due to conflict with Microsoft KB3072630
Can you click on edit, open a macro and run from macro interface?
Deepak, see the answer to Christian Chu
Can on click on edit instead of run.
And then use this button to run the macro
Deepak, if I click in edit it crashes. Or in record or new.
I've seen something like this with SW2015 sp5 - and it has something to do with windows update - can't recall how to fix it
you can search for this
To uninstall VBAs: a. Rename VBE6EXT.OLB to VBE6EXT.OLB.OLD in C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\microsoft shared\VBA\VBA6\VBE6EXT.OLB, if you cannot find it ignore this step b. Search your SOLIDWORKS download folder or DVD for a folder called Prereqs and open it c. Look for a sub-folder called VBA and open it, then right click on each file starting from vba71 and click uninstall, some files may not allow you to uninstall that is ok d. After you have uninstall these files, right click and then reinstall each file and test your Macros.
3. Third possible solution is to backup your parts, assembly drawing etc, and do a complete uninstall and reinstall of SOLIDWORKS
