Yes, BOXX is a way to go
We have BOXX sytems (work station) for all engineers here and every1 is happy
I wish I'd have a BOXX laptop but the budget is not allowed now
GOBOXX 15 SLM Quadro M2000M UHD
How is the durability on the GoBOXX machines?
Any experience with the GOBOXX MXL Sylake? is the 4.0 GHz (4.2 boosted) going to be noticeable?
I just found where someone mentioned a XI PowerGo. First time I have ever heard of this company.
What are your thoughts?
Probably wont go with this exactly but it is a truly powerful laptop.
I would not put them with BOXX necessarily but Eurocom offers real desktop replacement laptop. You can have pretty much everything that's available for a desktop built in a laptop form factor. Of course the thing is huge but hey do you want a powerhouse or not.
Don't just look for their mobile workstation you can also go into their gaming line (Not much difference anyway except the way they are marketed) and for some models you can select a quadro card. Also they are the only ones to offer an M3000M or higher quadro card in a 15" laptop. It's not easy finding the right model for what you want but if you talk with one of their reps and tell them what you want I'm sure they will find a way.
You can select almost anything, 4k display, Quadro M5000M, I7-6700K Cpu, The fastest SSD's, up to 64 GB ram, etc. You can even have two gpu if you what (Probably overkill for SolidWorks though)
Again they are far from ultrabooks so if you also want a slim laptop then I would look elsewhere. If you want a powerful machine for a good price then I would strongly consider them.
Just one more thing, whatever $$$ you spend for the laptop, it'll never have the power of a desktop
Get NASA to build you one!!!!!!!!
