    How to modify the control points of a Face whilst preserving trim loops

      I'm writing an algorithm for deforming a solid body. I need to be able to shift the control points of the underlying surface of the face whilst preserving the PCurves of the face. I am able to create a new surface with the control points altered but I'm having trouble working out how to clone the face and replace the surface. Any ideas.
