I'm still fairly new to SolidWorks so sorry if this is really basic, but I couldn't find any prior info on this.
Is there a way to separate out the individual entities of a linear pattern into their own individual sketches?
You are using Sketch Linear Pattern?
Create new sketches and use Convert Entities on selected elements of your original sketch.
It is not uncommon to make a more complex base layout sketch to use as the basis for your sketches for individual features.
Excellent! Thank you.
In addition to this though...
I have a linear pattern of 400 entities. Is there a way to convert those entities all at once into 400 different sketches?
Not auto-magically... Why do you need to do this?
Seems to me there may be a different way to attack your problem. Can't offer solutions without being able to see your model.
Good question. The link below is the more in depth question to what exactly I'm trying to do. I can attach a parts file to that discussion if you want to see it.
Connect points sequentially from two different linear patterns automatically
I asked this question because I thought I'd found a workaround, but I'm in the same boat it looks like. Hopefully there is a simpler way.
I'm trying to make a truncated pyramid of hollow tubes to act as an inlet on a home project I'm working on.
Post your part.... Likely why you have not received any response on your other thread. Need to see what you are trying to do.
