Is there a way to hide the path of split lines on a drawing?
I have unchecked everything under the visibility icon, but I can't get them to hide.
I could not get the Hide/Show Edges button to be enabled, even after showing the Line Format toolbar. However, I did find a way to hide the path.
How to enable the Hide/Show edges function in Line format??? | MySolidWorks
The only way that I know is to convert the entities in the drawing file and then select the lines and make them the same color as your part (if shown shaded) or the same color as the paper background...
That would probably work, but I was hoping I was overlooking the easy button for this.
Sometimes you can go to your part and use "Delete face"-"Delete and Patch" to make it one face again. It doesn't always work, but it is worth a try.
tangent edges removed
I have seen that mentioned in other threads, but it is not working here.
Create a configuration in the part, suppress the split line. Change the config of the drawing view.
If I suppress the split line, I also lose the features applied to it, which in this case are the cutouts and mirrored cutouts.
Is this a Sheet Metal part? Can you please upload it here?
..personally.. you don't need the split (I'd remove it)... just use the sketch for defining location and pattern.
I think you're probably right about that, but I have not given up on just hiding the split path just yet.
right-click the drawing view and choose Hide/Show Edge (button on right). You can click on whatever lines you want to hide (they will turn orange). Do the same to unhide (remove orange color).
Try turning on the line format toolbar and then using the hide/show edges button. This will let you hide individual edges you do not want to see.
