I don't find the add-in autotrace.
How can I download it ?
Autotrace is a built-in function of all SW editions. It cannot be downloaded separately.
Have you tried running a repair?
No, I don't try it.
How I can repair it ?
I found how to repair but it doesn't work
You could try resetting the registry... but note that any customizations of toolbars, menus, options, etc, will be lost.
Click Windows Start button
Select Run (this will open a new window)
In that window, type regedit & hit OK (this will open a new window)
Select HKEY_CURRENT_USER > Software
Rename SolidWorks key to SolidWorks OLD
Close the registry
Restart SolidWorks (the registry key will be re-created)
If that works, close SolidWorks, re-enter the registry and delete the SolidWorks OLD key.
If it does not work, close SolidWorks, re-enter the registry and delete the new SolidWorks key and rename the SolidWorks OLD key back to SolidWorks, to return the original settings.
But unfortunately it doesn't work
As Kelvin said, you should already have it. Go to Tools > Add-ins and check the box.
I don't have it...
Since it's not there I'm afraid I'm out of ideas. If no one else has an answer I'd suggest contacting your VAR (the people you bought SolidWorks from). And welcome to the forum.
Hi Dubreuil, there were some bug fixes in 2015 service packs for add-in's problem. Which service pack are you using? Try upgrading to the latest one i.e. SP 5.0
I had almost same issue. My simulation is not working. It has just a very very simple solution. Assuming that you have windows 7 OS, as this is happening in windows 7.
In one of the windows update KB3072630, for some security reasons windows will automatically block some SW registry content. Specially in SW 2014 and SW 2015. Now you have two option.
1) update you service pack to SP5 or whichever is latest in SW 2015. But I'm not sure about this thing as I haven't gone through this process.
2) See the attached photo. Do a step by step procedure.
I have tried 2nd option and it works great.
