Is there a hatch pattern available to put on a drawing view to note the tread? Or a better way to note the side of material that the tread pattern goes on??
If you have RealVIew you can use the treadplate appearance in the aluminum selection.
If not, just attach the note to the required side.
Drop in an iso of the part in question if you have room, otherwise you can use this method on the elevation or plan view of the parts as well. Once you select the view, use the spline to draw an area that you can hatch. Once you hatch inside the spline (the aluminum hatch looks sufficient), select it , and using the line style properties, select the stitch option. This will hide the spline while still making it accessible in the event you have to move it to another area or modify the shape. Add a note afterward.
That's what we've been doing. Wasn't sure if that was how others were doing it or not. Thanks
