Hello, I got a .drwdot template with a standard layout.
But i cant open it in solidworks. How can I use this as my drawing template?
Thanks in advance
Is the template saved in the same location as the other templates? If not, and you want to keep the template in it's own location, you need to go into System Options > file locations > document templates. Then add your custom template directory.
File SW version vs your SW version?
Thank you for your response, I added the .drwdot file into a new map created by myself with the name SolidWorks Templates.
Than I went into System Options > file locations > document templates. And added there this map.
After that i had to open a new file and in the window where i can choose to create a part/assem/drawing i had too choose Advance instead of Novice. When i did this i saw my map SolidWorks Templates!
Glad it worked for you Bryan.
