im designing a cross flow turbine for micro hydro using solidwork 2014 and i want to know the torque it will produce in the turbine shaft how would i do this in solidworks 2014?

That is the correct tool for you to simulate your turbine.

Turbine flow simulation
yes sir i have a flow simulation sir.
i watched the video and search so many tutorials but its not what im looking for it cause im the one who specify the angular velocity which is not true in real situation for microhydros.
here is the situation a water flowing through a pipe from a high head in it will hit the turbine causing the turbine to rotate and i want the determine the rpm and the torque of the turbine being produce, from the of the flowing water.
this cannot be done in flow
the closest you will get is rotate the turbine at a particular rpm, measure torque.
change rpm, measure torque again.
when torque = 0, you have found the RPM that the turbine will spin at.

Im always searching to find the answer in my question sir, now i know that in can not be done in flow.
I thought it can be done to maximize the full potential of the hydro system sir.
so basically sir if the toque = 0 that the rpm to rotate the turbine sir.
And sir can you give some tutorials to do this, cause i cannot make the torque = 0 sir.

Sir, i dont know how to set up my solidworks flow simulation so that i will find out the rpm and torque of the turbine with respect to the head and flow of the water that will spin the turbine.
What i always do is that i design the turbine install it after that i will measure the rpm and torque of the turbine, then from that data i will decide what generator is to used and to design how the gear box is set up to meet the rpm of the generator to produce electricity.
so in order to reduce this works im thinking that solidworks flow simulation will could help. so that in the process off designing i could already estimate the rpm and torque of the turbine so i could determined the generator and gearbox and other accessories to be used sir.

It looks like a Pelton wheel in the video. They are the most efficient turbine, if I recall correctly, when heads approach something like +300m. For low heads you might want to consider a different style but I realize there maybe other constraints on your problem. A Frances of Kaplan style which as far as I am aware work quite efficiently at low heads and they can be analyzed with Flow Simulation as they are well suited to the rotating frame approximation. The impulse or Pelton wheel turbine is tricky however the XFlow program could handle this problem and it can be rented on a per use basis through a cloud offering I believe they have. This is not my area of expertise so you should check the above out if you give it serious consideration. You can probably do a pretty decent job of developing an equation (first principles approach) to estimating the performance of a pelton wheel or just do a search on the web - I think they are pretty easy to figure out and are well understood as well. but i don't see how you can measure torque without a resistance

unfortunately there are not tutorials for everything out there.
this is really a straight forward analysis
setup a rotating region problem
then change the flow rates and measure the torque
