EV was January 21st. According to our VAR the official date for release, was Feb 9th.
It's Feb 10th.
Trying to schedule an entire Release upgrade for multiple users.
Same question was asked several hours ago in the Administration forum.
Solidworks 2015 SP2 release date?
And yesterday in the General forum.
Any planned release date for solidworks 2015 sp2.0?
Bottom line.... Soon
None of these threads have had their questions answered. Which doesn't answer this forum question.
I am waiting on the release as well to schedule some installs.
It will be released when it is ready for production. Which will be soon. SolidWorks does not give out hard dates. Your VAR is another matter. They told you the target date (hoped for) for SW2015 SP2. That does not always work out based on what happens in EV.
We're waiting to upgrade to SW'15 till SP2 comes out to update all our seats.
I rather wait and having them fix major issues then being one of the guinea pigs and regret having installed it.
My guess is that they have run into some issues and are dealing with it.
Before upgrading I would check out:
SPR844623 - Pipe geometry is not generated after slope added to custom piping components in this routing assembly
SPR835559 - Design library part thumb nail does not show description when hovered in task pane.
SPR635031 - Bounding box of shaded view is exported opaque when drawing is saved as pdf which covers up image (logo) in sheet format, HLR produces correct PDF
There is also an error with EPDM 2015 upon check in: "An invalid pointer was supplied to the method". It doesn't allow users to check in, the work-around is to log in as admin and force check in. It happens with external references and virtual subassemblies. There is no current SPR yet but my VAR knows about it and has sent it off to SW. They've had it for about a month now.
