I created several holes in a sheet metal part using a form tool with several points. Pem standoffs are mated in the holes. If I add another point in the form tool the PEM standoff mates move to different holes.
Regarding PEM´s, for the same hole size you probably want the same PEM part in those holes.
Can you be more specific ? Maybe you can upload a sample assembly with the plate and the PEM studs.
Interesting to know how you form the hole, if you array them and how. And how you drive the PEM´s to the holes, mates/pattern driven ?
If I can figure out upload I'll send some files.
I created assembly file FormTool.SldAsm (Attached) originally with 2 holes, PEMs mated in the holes. If you open up Sheet.SldPrt and modify 'sketch6' to add a third hole, the pems jump from holes 1 & 2 to holes 2 & 3. I'm sure if you created the new hole with a second form tool this wouldn't happen, but I'd think it more intuitive if it didn't happen when you modify 'sketch6'.
FormToolMove.SldAsm shows the result after adding the 3rd hole.
Thank you Ingvar, that looks like a convenient solution.
