I have this charted table, & we'd like to take a section of it & leave it there but gray it out still being
able to see it. Does anyone have expierence with this & know of some good ways to do this?

You can control the color of text in individual cells, but only one cell at a time as far as I can tell. If you want whole portions of the table, including the lines, to be gray, you can probably create two tables, with selected rows hidden in each, and put one of them in another Layer. That would be the only ways I know of.
I did try to sketch a rectangle, around the area that we want grayed out. Then I tried a solid hatch, but that
completely covers the text, which we don't want. For now I turned the hatch into angled lines which I
believe will suffice, but the boss had preivously mentioned gray it out so we'll see.
I hadn't thought of that. Did you use a gray Layer for the hatch?
I just changed the hatch color;
