It's very annoying to get the warning every time I open a document. If I open 10 drawings I have to wait between every file just to click OK 10 times. I work at a university so I all ready know that the file is from educational version.
Are you using an educational or commercial version of SW?
I can understand why it should appear on a commercial version of SW, but it should not be unreasonable for SW to disable that message when an educational version file is opened by an educational version of SW.
I'm using an educational version of SW.
Most other warnings have a "Don't show this again" option but not this one.
Thank you for your time (again)
Work here at the university and if you open student or education SW file in a commercial or research version you will always get the warning and cannot get rid of it.
if a student or edu SW file is opened the same type no warning because it is the same type.
So Henrik I think you may have a research version of SW, research is the same as a commercial seat (just pay less for it) because of working with a company that has sponsored the grant needs the files that have been created to continue to be used for the production of the project after the school is done.
remember student\edu file cannot be used for production.
That would make sense but I get the message when opening files that I've created with the same SolidWorks and same computer. So it would mean I got commercial or research license but when I save the files get converted to educational version?

First did you ever have a student version loaded on that PC?
If so, did you uninstall and clean the registry of all previous versions of SW?
You see if you do not the templates were student\educational and when you install the commercial version it doesn't overwrite the the student\educational to commercial.
this is why when you are opening the files you created on your PC are coming in with the EDU tag.
you will have to uninstall and clean the registry and re install SW
