I was wondering why I can't put a centermark on a hole in a drawing. Smart dimensions can find the center, and it really is a hole. Is it because the box has a draft?
Is the hole horizontal or is it perpendicular to the drafted face? You will need the view to be perpendicular to the hole axis for the centermark to work, so it won't work in that view you showed there if the hole is perpendicular to the face. You would need an Auxiliary view that comes off perpendicular to that face.
Yes that might be the reason. You can show the sketch of the hole (if created via cut extrude) and use that to put the center mark
Draw a circle in the view and use that for the center mark.
I know this is not a good way but I use either of these in these kind of situations.
