Yeah, re-issueing the User Profile periodically fixes a lot of issues and keeps the machine running tip-top by recreating the registry and getting rid of unused programs. It also encourages good file organization and application configuration for portability. If you don't clear out your machine every couple of years you wind up with crud strewn everywhere after a couple of years.
Upon further review, we found that the new user profile only worked for a handful of saves before if was super slow again. We were however able to use Solidworks Rx coupled with turning off solidworks backups and now we are all running as fast again. We are currently on Solidworks Pro / Premium 2012 (network license), does anyone know if new versions have fixed this slowing down problem with backups?
