Does SW offer a viewer which lets you probe and investigate simulation results without tieing up a simulation license?
Unfortunately it does not. You need a simulation license or flow simulation license in order to load or view results from a Simulation study.
what about having the results exported as an edrawing after the simulation?
something to also keep in mind is that you can view results while the simulation is running in the same session of solidworks or a separate session of solidworks on the same system. just make sure you have enough resources. if you need this for mutiple people, consider sharing a simulation workstation.
Thanks Jared - exporting the results as an edrawings is more along the lines of what I was looking for. That would work perfectly if you could modify isoclippings or work with the probe to investigate potential problem areas.
The need for this comes from people QA'ing simulation results who are not familiar with SW and could possibly change something in the study by accident and lose the results. I suppose making the simulation file read only should address that?
giving them read only view of the results should be another potential workaround
