I'm using SolidWorks 2010 and adding some notes with leaders to a drawing view. Is there a way to enable angular snap so the leaders are at consistent angles? If not, is it something they added in later releases?
Thanks,
Bill

Thanks for the quick replies. I guess I'll enter an enhancement request. I last used SW about 5 years ago and have used Inventor in the mean time. I found the feature very handy on Inventor.
Thanks again.
Bill
When, or if, you receive an SPR number for the ER, please post back here so that others can view & vote for it on the Customer Portal.
Perhaps you should also link this thread to the "If you were in charge of SolidWorks, what would you change with Annotations?" thread.
Kelvin,
There appeared to be one already. I added a comment to it. At least I think that's what happened. See below:
You submitted an enhancement request with following details:
ER - 1-5409580096
Summary -
Description - Product Version in Use :
Explanation : Product Version:SW2010
Explanation:Snapping leaders to predetermined angles makes the drawing look better because leaders are at consistent angles and it saves time because you don't have to take the time to try to adjust leaders to where they look like they're at the same angle.
We are unable to view ER numbers. They are only accessible to SolidWorks & the ER submitter.
If you found a similar ER with an S or SPR number, please post that number.
Well, the summary says I "Voted For : Soft snap for balloon leader line arrow angle ( horizontal vertical 30 60 90 120 180 210 240 270 300 330 )" I suppose you could search for that and vote for it.
There's also an SPR 635535, for what that's worth.
I'm not quite sure how to link one thread to another, but feel free, if you think it would help.
Can't find anything on 2014sp2, so I'd say not.
