Yes, I do that, it is my only work around but it only makes the sketch smooth till the next time I save the file. I have solidworks 2013 professional. My subscription ran out so they weren't able to help me. Any other thoughts?
Check your graphics card and its drivers. Does the slider moves back to left side after you save the file??
Look like a graphics issue only. What graphics card are you using? Is it certified one. You can use the SOLIDWORKS Rx tool to diagnose.
Can you try this:
Close all files and go to Performance and select Use Software OpenGL. Open your files and check. If this solves the issue then this is a graphics issue only.
>The graphics card I am using is Nvidia Geforce GT 650 M
Found Solidworks rx for diagnostics but wasn't sure how to use it
Set to use software open gl but did not solve the problem

Also can you upload one sample file.

Brandon, FYI, your GeForce video card is not fully supported and therefore SolidWorks doesn't implement some of its display modes.
Two things you should look into:
Check that "Full Scene Anti-aliasing" is turned on in Tools>>Options: System Options: Display/Selection (I think you can only change this if SolidWorks is loaded but no documents are opened)
Check your nVidia control panel settings to see if you can enable full scene anti-aliasing there.
Those might help your situation, but for truth, in your place, I'd ignore the aliasing. It's a display artifact of vector software. If you're trying to export your sketch to a raster format, then try creating the sketch in a drawing and exporting it to TIFF and then converting that to whatever format you want. You can also insert the part containing the sketch into a drawing and turn on display of the sketch.
This gives you better control over the appearance of the sketch since you can apply lineweights and linestyles and also allows you to export to vector formats like illustrator or DXF
Brandon please got to Tool > Options > Document Properties > Image Qualities and move the slider to right side to fix the issue. BTW it it is only a display quality and nothing else.
